Microsoft is bringing back MS-DOS but this time on the mobile. Microsoft has announced a mobile version of MS-DOS operating system for Windows Phone Platform that you can download and install on your Windows Phone devices.
MS-DOS Mobile Version 1.0 will be available soon for your windows phone device. The MS-DOS OS allows you to run a number of already installed applications ans extra special features. Now you can see C:/ prompt in your Lumia device. The OS is also forwards compatible, so you can run Windows Phone apps as well, although pretty sure MS-DOS had more apps than Windows Phone does.
Tom Messett, from the marketing team at Microsoft Lumia, said:
“MS-DOS Mobile allows us to look proudly back, while at the same time moving us defiantly forwards. It’s simple, effective productivity re-imagined through the medium of DOS.” Source
