Sonam Kapoor breaking the norm of two actresses can’t be friends, come in support of Swara as she trolled by people over her masturbation scene in the recently released film Veere Di Wedding, also starring Kareen Kapoor Khan and Shikha Talsani. While she also called out Pakistan a ‘failing state’ in the video that hurts the sentiments of Pak people.
Sonam in support for her friend Swara said, “I think people just like to troll her because she has an opinion and a point of view and I guess that shows how much they love her because the other side of hate is always love, so Swara you have a lot of lovers!”
Veere Di Wedding is not the first film before that Sonam and Swara co0starred in Raanjhanaa and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. And, now for her role in VDW, a Pakistani actress Urwa Hocane slammed her for calling Pakistan a “failing state.”
Veere Di Wedding has banned by Pak CBFC and in a recent interview, Swara told about the ban, “They’re (Pakistan) a non-secular state. I’m not surprised at all. Why should we hold up Pakistan, which is a failing state – I don’t understand why we keep taking pleasure and feeling a sense of self-worth from all the silly things that happen in Pakistan.” Swara said.
And, it was her statement that Swara gets trolled by people including Pak actress.
“Hey, @ReallySwara just watched #VeereDiWedding with my grandmother. We got embarrassed when that masturbation scene came on screen. as we came out of the theater my grandmother said I’m Hindustan and I am ashamed of #VeereDiWedding,” the tweets read which slammed her for the inappropriate scene in the film.
