Yoga Day: Man creates World Record with 25k push ups in 10 hours
June 21 is celebrated as the International Yoga Day since its inception in 2015. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had suggested June 21 in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) since it is the longest day of the year. PM Modi, this year, is celebrating the day in Forest Research Insitute, Dehradun.
On the day, Modi said, “I urge people around to world to embrace Yoga.
I also request people to share the joys of Yoga with others by teaching Yoga particularly to today’s youth. This way we can create a healthier planet.”

On the occasion of International Yoga Day, a man named Bhramchari Kuldeep from Patanjali has made a world record of doing 25,000 pushups in 10 hours. The video was shared by Baba Ramdev to showcase the power of Yoga to the masses.

While we get tired after just 20 push-ups a day, we wonder how this man did it!

The idea of celebrating Yoga day was first proposed by PM Modi during his speech at UNGA in 2014. In his speech, he stated, “Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and the nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help in well being. Let us work towards adopting an International Yoga Day.”
