1. One Rupee Note

One rupee note is not as popular as it used to be at a time. The one rupee currency note has a picture of an oil rig on it. This oil rig It has the image of an oil rig which signifies the industrial development of the nation.

2. Two Rupees Note


Two rupee currency note is also not that popular today. As people use coins of one and two rupees instead of the notes. These currency notes have been replaced higher denomination notes as to match the increasing cost of living standards. The note has the picture of the Aryabhatta satellite which signifies the growth of Science and Technology in India.

3. Five Rupees Note


On the backside of the five rupees note, there is a picture of a man ploughing his fields. This image represents the agriculture progress and growth of the country.

4. Ten Rupees Note

The newly introduced higher denomination note of Two Hundred Rupees note has the image of Sanchi Stupa monument printed on it.

9. Five Hundred Rupees Note


Five Hundred Rupees were also changed. The newly introduced notes with a new design has the Red Fort monument printed on the backside of it.

10. One Thousand Rupees Note


This note of higher denominated is of no value now. 1000 rupees currency notes have been discontinued. The note has an image signifying the prospering Indian economy.

11. Two Thousand Rupees Note


On 8 November 2016, the Government of India demonetized the Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes. It introduced a new Rs. 2000 note which has the image of Mangalyaan on it. Mangalyaan is the first interplanetary space mission of India.
