The Indian subcontinent has been a major contributor to the world and has excelled in the fields of astronomy, neurology and information and technology. Some of the inventions are far before the Indus Valley Civilization. The historical evidence and excavations by archaeologists prove the dominance of India in the fields of science and technology.

The use of place value system was clearly mentioned in Aryabhatta’s manuscript and thus zero came into existence. No particular symbol was given to zero, but the presence of zero was evident from his work. It’s one of the most important discoveries thta India gave to the world.

Indians were pioneers in plastic surgery too. It was carried out in India as early as 2000 BCE. Acharya Sushruta led the foundation of plastic surgery in India. History is a testimony to await that how innovative our nation has always been. India has such a vast and amazing culture for centuries.
