Traveling the world, seeing the beauty it has to offer, embracing different cultures of different nations – this is the stuff dreams are made of, right? Admit it, there have been tons of times when you’ve just wanted to quit your job to travel the world.
But none of us really have the guts to do it. Except this one woman from Connecticut, named Cassie De Pecol. The 27 year old embarked on a journey to visit every country in the world and she recently became the fastest person to have done so.
It took Cassie 18 months to visit 196 countries around the world and cost her approximately $111,000 in all. She had been saving money for a while by balancing two babysitting jobs, which earned her around 10,000 dollars.
That was not all. She even took cues from international stars to get hold of investors and sponsors who would fund her trip. She had almost ran out of funds halfway into the trip, but managed to complete her mission.
At present, Cassie has broken over two Guineas records. She has not only visited every country in the world, but is also the youngest American and the fastest traveler to have done so.
Cassie’s mission is not without purpose. Her mission has been called Expedition 196 and she is an Ambassador for Peace, working on behalf of the International Institute for Peace Through Tourism. This is pretty amazing, right?
We think Cassie is setting quite an example for the rest of the world – that if you really want something, and really work towards it, nothing can get in your way. You can take a tour through her Instagram profile to see where she’s been.
Stunning, isn’t it?
Don’t you wish you could be here?
This one’s in Kabul!
She was at Cambodia as well!
Kudos to you, girl!
