Last night, the ex-big boss contestant, Sreesanth got eliminated from Khatron Ke Khiladi in quite an unexpected way. He was considered as one of the strongest contenders to win the stunt-based reality show, but his decision to not attempt the elimination task came as a shocker to host Rohit Shetty and other contestants. Here’s what happened during the episode last night.
Sreesanth, after losing the coordination stunt involving laser beam with Ridhima Pandit got fear funda. The two mutually decided to abort the task as Ridhima couldn’t give clear-cut instructions to Sree and he lost his cool. The former cricketer was quite upset about losing the stunt and seemed to be in foul mood.

At the starting of the episode, Rohit Shetty reprimanded Haarsh, Ridhima, Sree saying it is for the first time in his four seasons as a host that contestants are aborting tasks for minor reasons and asked everyone to not give up so easily. Thereafter, the elimination task was attempted by the three.
Ridhima was the first to go, and Haarsh was the next. The lady managed to complete the task although she was jittery all along at the sight of creepy crawlies. Haarsh too overcame his phobia of creepy crawlies and handled the stunt quite well. Sreesanth was the last one to attempt the task and after host Rohit Shetty signalled to begin the task, he just froze at the spot. This left the contestants confused as they wondered how a tough guy like Sreesanth could not move at the sight of creepy crawlies. But guess, the former cricketer had something else cooking in his head. After much coaxing, he resumed the task, and took out all keys. In the end, he was required to pull out a flag from the tumbler full of muck. He pulled it out and came out without the flag, making it clear that he wanted to quit.

When Sreesanth was asked by Rohit Shetty that why he did that, the cricketer replied saying in the laser beam task he was guilty that Ridhima got into elimination task because of him as he could not follow her instructions and he did not want to continue as he was a weak player. Rohit told him that this would look very bad on television and he in fact saw him as one of the finalists.
Fans are feeling sad that Khatron Ke Khiladi 9 lost such a strong contender because of this flimsy reason. But knowing Sreesanth’s big boss journey,it did not really come as a surprise.
